You should then get off at station “Casa da Música” and change to bus line 204 (direction “Foz”, works only during daytime) with the same ticket. Leave the bus at the last stop, Foz (located at “Rua de Diu” street), and walk 5 minutes to the address above (total travel time: 1 hour and 15 minutes).

Getting from Lisbon to Porto

When you arrive at Lisbon airport you can go to the train station (called Gare Oriente) either by taxi or by bus, it’s only a small trip of 5 or 10 minutes, depending on traffic:
- by taxi: you can purchase a Taxi Voucher at the Tourism Information Counter in the airport’s Arrivals Hall. This way the price is previously paid, and you get the lowest fare. They can give you details on where you can find the specific taxi.
- by city bus: Aeroshuttle – No. 96. Available everyday, every 30 minutes between 7am and 11pm, the aeroshuttle  connects the airport to Gare Oriente and other locations. Tickets (3,50 euros) can be purchased onboard and also in the Tourism Office at airport arrivals (public area). Make sure you ask the bus driver if he is heading for “Gare Oriente“).

At Gare Oriente, you can catch a train or an express bus to Porto:
- trains: You can check at this web site all the timetables and prices for trains between Lisbon and Porto, and even print your train ticket before coming to Portugal. To search for connections, please use “Lisboa - Oriente” and “Porto – Campanha” in the search options. There are trains every hour until 21h30m.
- express buses: at Gare Oriente there are also bus companies that operate between Lisbon and Porto. Look for RENEX, one of the bus companies (located in Cais “E” – Pier “E”). There is a place near the pier where you can buy the ticket. It will cost you around 18 Euros.

Welcome Breakfast

We would like to invite all Erasmus and Exchange students for a welcome breakfast that will take place here at UFP this Friday, September 10, at 10h00. The meeting point is located at the corner of the Rectory building (first building you see when you visit our main address: Praça 9 de Abril, 349 – Porto). At this event you will meet your departmental coordinator, receive important information and be able to present any questions you have about classes. Timetables will be available after your arrival, for students who have already prepared a Learning Agreement approved by UFP. We will explain you on Friday how you can access the timetables.

We understand that some of you are not be able to be here on Friday morning. These students will receive an email with the alternative date/time to receive the same information.

Please note the general arrival procedures for all students:
When you arrive, you can go directly to the Students’ Hall of Residence, if you have received a previous confirmation of your room. If you are not staying at our Hall of Residence, go straight to your previously arranged accommodation (hotel, apartment, etc.).
